NAMI Bucks County Stride for Mental Health Awareness 2018

Ending The Silence

Fundraising efforts will benefit our signature education program "Ending the Silence" which provides mental health education to middle and high schools throughout Bucks County.

Lead by coordinator Laurie Pepe, Bucks County Ending the Silence (ETS) consists of a talented team of young adult presenters who deliver personal experiences and messages of hope to students in the Bucks County school system. We are committed to ending the silence and stigma surrounding mental illness. Students, teachers, parents, and residents will see that our team is an example of what can be achieved by those living with a mental health condition.

Helping middle and high schoolers understand mental illness makes a big difference. We can teach them about the warning signs for themselves and their friends. NAMI Ending the Silence helps raise awareness and change perceptions around mental health conditions.

"The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them. That's the essence of inhumanity."
